After completing his commerce graduation from Punjab University, he worked in Ittifaq Group of Companies and got inspiration towards C.A profession. Therefore, he commenced articles from a well-renowned firm Muniff Zia-ul-Din & Co. (a contemporary top-10 rated C.A firm and a member of D.F.K i.e. Douglas Fox Kidson, International Accountants Firm), and then started job as Assistant Manager Tax in Asad Ali & Co Chartered Accountants. Later on, that firm got merger with BDO Ebrahim & Co. The BDO is a multinational Accounting Organization and has grown to be the sixth largest in the world with a network of more than 480 offices situated in more than 65 economically important countries. BDO has 17000 partners and staff worldwide, who offer a wide range of first class professional auditing, accounting, tax, financial and management advisory services. In that firm, he worked as Manager Tax & Financial Consultancy, but within a short period of just three years, thanks to his outstanding performance, was promoted to the highest-paid rank of Senior Manager. During his work with BDO Ebrahim & Co of almost 5 years he earned a significant experience of national and internal Taxation, Accounting and Financial matters including mergers & acquisitions.

Then he got an opportunity to commence his own tax, corporate, financial and management consultancy under the name and style of Jamil & Jamil. With his business-like expertise, he worked on various financial products including Feasibility Study Reports, Capital & Corporate Structuring/Restructuring and Financial Analysis for diversified groups of clients including Textiles, Cements, Sugar Mills, Airlines, Banks, Leasing, steel, agro based, healthcare, Chemical & Engineering Industries including acquisitions and mergers of various sort of business. In the line of corporate affairs, he did corporate brokerage with national and internationally recognized firms. His rich experience of more than 20 years in this profession proved a watershed in the drastic success of the Jamil & Jamil and subsequently of Nasir Jamil & Co, Chartered Accountants.

He had also the privilege of being the member of Executive Committee of Pakistan Finance Business Alliance (PFBA) for two consecutive tenures and also being a life time member of Lahore Tax Bar Association (LTBA).

Last but not the least is that with his inborn dynamic leadership, he earned an enviable name to this Group and the firm in the business circles.
